COURSE:

BLS CPR FOR THE HEALTHCARE PROVIDER

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

What You’ll Learn

– High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
– The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
– Important early use of an AED
– Effective ventilations using a barrier device
– Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
– Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infantS

ACLS – ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR LIFE SUPPORT
– HeartCode Skills Session

Before attending this skills session,
you must have completed the following:

1. The online blended eLearning course found here: 
Heart.org HeartCode 
(The HeartCode Skills session fee is not included in your online eLearning course from the American Heart Association.)

2. The ACLS Pre-Test found here:

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?

This course is designed for healthcare professionals who direct or manage cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies; personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units; physicians, nurses, and paramedics; and others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.

How Long is the skill session?

4 Hours.

When will i receive my ACLS card?

Within 24 hours of course completion.
