Our Emergency Medical Responders Course is a 10-day certification course currently offered at our Illinois and Michigan EMS Academies. Upon completion of this course and receiving your license you will be able to work on an ambulance with a licensed Emergency Medical Technician at LifeLine Ambulance.
What You’ll Learn
Emergency Medical Responders provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources to arrive. EMRs also provide assistance to higher-level personnel at the scene of emergencies and during transport. Emergency Medical Responders are a vital part of the comprehensive EMS response. Under medical oversight, Emergency Medical Responders perform basic interventions with minimal equipment.
What You’ll Get
Upon completion of this course, licensure and full-time employment at LifeLine Ambulance for 90 days; LifeLine Ambulance will reimburse the cost of this course to you, along with giving a you an employment discount to become a licensed EMT (Emergency Medical Technician).
Course Prerequisites
Must Have High School Diploma or GED
Must Be Aged 21+
